Danish pastry is a speciality from Denmark and is very traditional in the scanivavian countries. Also well known in the industrialized world.
But the curious fact is that in Denmark, the Danish pastry is called Viennese Bread as well as in Iceland, Sweden and Norway. But in the Vienna cuisine, the Danish pastry is known as Copenhagen Pastry or "Kopenhagener Gebäck" in German.
Now go figure!
